The refrigerator bought in 10/2020 has been great until the compressor failed 7/2024. Was under warranty with the distributor I bought it from so they repaired it. Apparently the LG company wont refund any food spoilage since I didnt use them. HEY LG it was your compressor Bad business.

A Real Conversation Piece

We purchased this refrigerator about 4 months ago and its a great refrigerator. Both the refrigerator area and freezer compartment are very spacious. Its very easy to organize the food so that I can readily see exactly what I need without digging around and moving things. The food is kept nice and cold and the ice is made pretty quickly. The refrigerator itself is beautiful and makes a statement in my kitchen.

GREAT BUT HAS PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR OPENING

I got the refrigerator as a replacement because mt old one quit working. I brought this model because of the advanced features and technology. It has performed as expected except for the left side door. Sometimes I have to open the left side door first because it hangs up on the right side door. I checked the alignment and thats not the problem. It seems to be the inside door flapper that swings out inside the refrigerator .WELL THAT FLAP HANGS UP ON THE RIGHT DOOR

Beautiful design but defective inner construction.

Unfortunately my refrigerator had a recalled compressor unit. At or about the 2 year anniversary it broke down. The compressor was replaced but unfortunately it never cooled again. Additionally the circuitry also became defective. I was forced to claim a replacement for the unit.

Bought this fridge a little over a year ago. Sold on the signature brand. After 13 months it will no longer stay cold produce ice or keep ice cream frozen. Signature support has not been able to locate a qualified service tech to repair. Going on 3 weeks without a fridge. Cannot recommend this brand

We purchased this beautiful refrigerator not only for the awesome features but also for its visual Wow. I have an open floor plan so when you come in the front door your eye is drawn to the fridge. So many outstanding features the knock knock door is great not only to see inside without opening the door its handy glass door is great to reach frequently needed items. The fridge has 5 roomy shelfs that are easy to move. I didnt want a lower freezer but this beauty has side by side freezer doors when opened actually automatically push out the draws to all you to reach anything easily. Awesome

Refrigerator sealed system leak

This has been a nightmare experience. After only 2 years my refrigerator suffered a sealed system leak and could no longer cool. I lost all the contents of my refrigerator and freezer. Calling support and was disconnected several times. The support representative was polite and helpful however I had to wait several days for a service tech to come to my home. I then received a text late in the day that my service appointment was cancelled and I would have to call for a new appointment. Rescheduling was through an Interactive Voice Response system. I could not speak to a live person. My appointment was now pushed back 2 weeks. Reading reviews online I see similar frustrations - inferior quality and very poor customer service. A cooling leak is also a very common issue so there are definitely existing quality issues LG is not correcting. I hope I will not charged for a service call when this should be covered under warranty. It is frustrating when expensive appliances go wrong. We depend on them daily and the lack of a refrigerator for 2 weeks is really unacceptable. I have no way of knowing at this point if the repair will be made at the 1st service call or if I will then have to wait for parts and a second visit. The expense of loss of food and expense of daily limited food purchases that do not require refrigeration is very disappointing to say the least. Why should I encounter any financial burden for something that claims to have a 10 year warranty? I would not recommend LG to anyone.

Delicate electronic would love if worked

This was delivered to us about two weeks ago. We live in a three story townhome with the kitchen in the second floor. The delivery folks had to remove the doors to get the fridge inside and then managed to dent the fridge trying to carry it up stairs with those shoulder harnesses that are so popular with appliance delivery people. The fridge worked once as we expected it to. Then it started a beep that occurred about every 30 seconds other features dis not work either no water or ice WiFi would initiate but couldnt be joined note WiFi is integral/required for the built in trouble shooting. I called Lg for help. The Signature helpline was a little disappointing. It isnt 24 hours anymore due to COVID. So we listened to the beep overnight and talked to a service person the next morning. We Were told we could use Sabbath mode to silence the beep. We were also Informed there are frequently issues when the doors are removed for install. That we should have the team return and troubleshoot how they connected the wires. We got the delivery team back over about 4 or 5 days later. They felt the fridge was defective but after literally turning a wire that was still attached about 90 degrees they gained our water and ice features and the beep stopped. Our ability to tap on the glass to see in the fridge started working. But it quit within a day. We were never able to connect to the fridges WiFi. We could see the fridges WiFi but the password last 4 of WiFi name typed twice and case sensitive did not work. Theres no beep and our food isnt spoiling but we need a replacement. Very nervous because we need the fridge delivered to the second floor. I think perhaps an appliance dolly would be helpful. Also the doors will still have to come off because our front door is 36. So even without the stairs theres a probability of a repeat. Youd think the fridge would be more installer proof. Its been frustrating because the return and replacement through Costco is at least a month long wait. The fridge does have some great space features. For it being counter depth smaller cubic footage the shelves and door shelves are laid out well to allow a lot of food storage. The shelves reminds me of another delivery issue. There is what appears to be a plastic wrap on the back wall of fridge around the air freshener. The set up People had no idea how to remove it or If it should be removed. Similarly there was tape and padding on door shelves the bottom shelf too. The manual instructs how to remove the shelves but that doesnt work for the bottom shelf. No idea how to get the tape off. Its an expensive fridge that has proven to require delicate handling. So we are at a loss for how hard we should pull to try to remove the shelf. Its got a handle so we think it should come out. But we cant figure out how and are afraid of breaking it. The water coming out of the door also seems really slow. No idea why. We have great pressure and water flow. Maybe we just got a lemon. For the price Point we wouldnt expect that. To the credit of LG they are aware we are asking for a replacement but are sending a technician next week to fix it while we await the replacement. Lg seems to stand behind their product. The auto door open feature is kinda gimmicky. It certainly helps if youre hands are Full but you still have to use your hands to get the door all the way open. The small door in door is useful for items we use a lot. Also the fridge doors that expand out a little are helpful but not extremely helpful they only come out a little. Overall Just very disappointed.

When we bought our counter depth LG Signature Fridge we worried about the overall cubic feet being too small. LG has done a good job organizing the shelves and drwers to maximize the space. So far we like our purchase. The only Con is the price.

Great Looking But Has Flaws.

Looks Great However Came with manufacturers defect stain on glass window door along with storage bin bending pin indent on lower right freezer door Pictures Attached. Freezer Design with sliding cabinets waste storage space and increase reliability longevity. Uses the OLD refrigerant not the latest eco friendly type. Wifi connection and monitoring of filters Water Air through App misleading and useless. These Defects dont warrant the VERY Expensive Price. LG should either fix-replace these manufacturers defects or refund us partial cost to keep unit as is. See attached Pics.

Great Refrigerator

Great Refrigerator Got it in August 2020 and have been very satisfied since. It has a lot of room. The door-indoor feature is great. The engineers could have allowed a little more shelve adjustment in the refrigerator however. The only downside is the manual did not have any part number for the air filter and it took many phone calls to LG to get the right part number. It was a little pricey as well as the water filter. The website was not helpful with the air filter and you cannot get a subscription for it.
